FAQ

WHAT CAN I FIND AT THE RECORD SHOW?

Dealers/collectors travel across the Midwest to offer 65 tables filled with an ever-changing mix of thousands of used and new music – LPs, 45s, CDs, cassettes – as well as music memorabilia, posters, T-shirts, and vintage stereo gear.

You can find everything from $2 bargains to high-end collectibles. All kinds of musical genres are represented, but the show is heaviest in classic rock, pop, metal, punk, prog rock, oldies rock, blues, jazz, R&B, soul, country, and hip-hop.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU HAVE RECORD SHOWS?

For this inaugural season, the Southwest Michigan Record Show will hold two shows in 2023. The first will be Sunday, May 14. The second will be Saturday, Sept. 16.

WHERE IS THE SHOW LOCATED?

We are in Grand Upton Hall at the Lake Michigan College Mendel Center, 1100 Yore Ave., Benton Harbor, Michigan, which is just off Napier Avenue between I-94 and the US-31 exits.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS, AND DO YOU CHARGE ADMISSION?

The official show hours are 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Do you want to come early and shop as dealers set up? Early admission begins at 9 a.m. and is $5 per person. Just please be courteous to vendors who are setting up. General admission is free and starts at 11 a.m.

IS THERE AN ATM NEARBY?

Yes. There is an ATM near the college bookstore in the main building, but not in the Mendel Center.

CAN I PAY WITH A DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD?

Some dealers do accept credit and debit cards, PayPal, Zelle, and more, but not everyone does so please bring plenty of cash.

DO YOU BUY RECORDS, TAPES, CDS, ETC.?

Yes. We always look for well-cared-for vinyl, CDs, cassettes, and more. If you have one record or an entire collection, first contact Jeremy D. Bonfiglio at 574-261-3650 (call or text), email him at jeremybonfiglio@att.net, or meet him at the show. Since individual dealers have their own specialties, he can best direct you to who would be most interested in your items.

CAN ANYONE SELL STUFF AT THIS SHOW?

Yes! The show is open to all types of sellers – stores, collectors, and folks selling off an inherited collection. We try to make the show as accessible as possible for music fans of all kinds. Please be aware that the show does tend to sell out and plan accordingly. If interested, just contact Jeremy to find out more at 574-261-3650 (call or text) or jeremybonfiglio@att.net.

HOW DO I GET ON OR OFF THE MAILING OR EMAIL LIST?

Just email Jeremy at jeremybonfiglio@att.net, or sign up at the next show!
